Ingredients:

 

800 g

Eskort Chicken Braai Burgers, sliced into fingers

1 kg

store-bought dough

8

shallots, cut lengthwise into quarters

45 ml (3 T)

fresh thyme

45 ml (3 T)

olive oil

5 ml (1 t)

coarse salt

60 ml (¼ C)

green olives, chopped

Balsamic Cream Cheese

 

250 ml (1 C)

cream cheese

20 ml (2 T)

balsamic vinegar

15 ml (1 T)

golden syrup

Method:

Chicken and Onion Focaccia

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C.

  • Roll the dough out on a flour-dusted surface, place on a large oven tray and drizzle with olive oil.

  • Place the chicken burger fingers, shallots, thyme, coarse salt and green olives on the dough.

  • Bake for 20 minutes.

Balsamic Cream Cheese

  • While the focaccia is in the oven, combine the balsamic vinegar, cream cheese and golden syrup in a small mixing bowl.

Serving

  • Slice and serve with balsamic cream cheese.
